Vector Fields OPERA is a finite element simulation suite for electromagnetic design and analysis, developed by Vector Fields Ltd. It provides 2D and 3D solvers for static, transient, and frequency-domain problems, helping engineers predict fields, forces, torques, losses, and temperature rise in electrically and magnetically active devices. OPERA is widely used for designing electric motors and generators, transformers, actuators, magnets, sensors, and induction equipment, as well as for research applications in magnetic systems and particle-beam devices.
Key capabilities:
OPERA streamlines the electromagnetic design process by combining accurate solvers with practical modeling, automation, and analysis tools, enabling faster iteration and higher-confidence engineering decisions.
Vector Fields OPERA is developed by Vector Fields Ltd. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 12.0 and 12.2. The names of program executable files are opera_manager.exe, vftray.exe.
